LocationTorrance, CA 90502 (Relocate before starting work – Required)
Compensation$74,880 – $83,200 per year
Schedule8 hour shift, Monday to Friday

- Process intake information from referral sources and patients, routing to appropriate pharmacy personnel.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Receive and document calls from new patients and referral sources.
- Consult with Pharmacist‑In‑Charge regarding referrals, medications and cash quotes.
- Assist billing department with verification of insurance coverage and proper billing to third‑party payers.
- Communicate with procurement supervisor and pharmacists regarding referrals requiring delivery.
- Coordinate nursing and confirm details with relevant parties.
- Maintain communication with home health agencies, hospitals and doctor’s offices.
- Complete patient admit packets and forward to procurement supervisor.
- Verify insurance enrollment and check new referrals in the “New Referral Log.”
- Execute counseling notices and performance evaluations as needed.
- Update patient and nursing contact information in the system.
- Monitor employee time sheets.
- Work on‑call after hours as scheduled by the Intake Manager.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program and committees.
- Report misconduct or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
- Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
- Ability to evaluate options and make efficient decisions.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, internet and e‑mail.
- Advanced level of accuracy and good judgment with minimal direction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to explain technical issues in plain language.
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience in a pharmacy or home health company is beneficial. Experience in a consumer‑related business is also beneficial.
