OverviewOur headquarters office located in Torrance, CA is hiring for an Investment Operations Associate. The Investment Operations Associate will support the Director of Investments, Investment Operations Manager, Portfolio Managers, and Advisors with day-to-day operations. Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of delivering excellent client service, with exceptional organizational, communication and administrative skills. Salary Range: $25.48 - $28.84 per hour plus annual bonus
Duties and Responsibilities- Data entry related to account setup and security coding
- Ensure data feed is established with multiple custodians, Pontera and DST Fanmail
- Trade accounts to model, establish future allocations and rebalance per EP protocol
- Monitor accounts for reconciliation status and address discrepancies
- Audit accounts quarterly and bring all accounts to reconciled status
- Generate investment proposals as requested by advisors
- Obtain and store statements as needed
- Provide support to advisors with ad hoc requests
- Identify fund options, coordinate fund selection and model build with PM Analysts
- Oversee required custodial forms prepared by Advisory support team
- Collaborate with Billing, Compliance and Partnership Integration Departments
- Work with Partnership Integration when M&A firms bring in annuities and other external (or specialized) accounts, advising on required paperwork, monitoring data feed and trading accounts to EP model
- Communicate with custodian firms frequently
- Communicate with Tamarac Support and Data Team frequently
- Document external (or specialized account) management procedures
- Develop informational and instructional materials for internal website and training program
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support and enhance investment department objectives
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform business functions with focus on consistency, quality, and compliance
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 1-3 years of experience within financial industry a plus; desire to work in financial investment industry
- Previous experience or knowledge of annuities a plus
- Able to learn quickly in a fast-paced work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Reliable, organized and goal-oriented
- Extremely detail oriented, exceptional follow through
- Able to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment
- Able to work independently and exercise discretion without direct and immediate supervision
