UHP is currently affiliated with 154 providers consisting of 110 physicians and 44 advanced practice providers operating out of 50 locations across Southern, Central, and Northern California.

Position

Summary

The FP&A Analyst will play a crucial role in our financial planning and analysis department, providing insights and support that will help shape our strategic direction. This position requires a blend of analytical prowess, financial modeling expertise, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving our financial planning processes, analyzing business performance, and supporting decision-making across the organization.

This is a remote/hybrid position, and worker location must be within Unio Health Partners authorized states: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, , IL, IA, NV, NM, OR, SC, TX, VA, WA and WI.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Financial Modeling and Analysis:
    Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support decision-making. Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against strategic plans.
  • Variance Analysis:
    Conduct monthly and quarterly financial variance analyses, identifying trends, and making recommendations for corrective actions as needed. All other duties as assigned.
  • KPI Reporting and Tracking:
    Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support business objectives.
  • Forecasting:
    Lead the financial forecasting process, including KPIs, revenue, and expenses, and capital expenditures, to support short-term and long-term strategic planning.
  • Healthcare Industry Analysis:
    Utilize knowledge of the healthcare industry to analyze market trends, opportunities, and challenges, particularly in relation to revenue cycle management.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support on projects, identifying financial risks and opportunities.
What You Will Bring To The Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related finance/Analytical role.
  • Prefer candidates with healthcare sector, consulting, or investment banking experience.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle management in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to problem-solve and be decisive with actions.
