Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager (Hybrid | Torrance, CA)

We’re partnering with a well-established, PE-backed restaurant organization with a national footprint that’s looking to hire an Accounting Manager to join their growing finance team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role with a clear path to Controller by April 2027
, including a compensation increase.

• High visibility working directly with the CFO
• Opportunity to build, improve, and automate accounting processes
• Exposure to multi-unit, high-volume operations
• Strong leadership responsibility with onshore and offshore teams
• Stable, profitable company with long-term growth plans

• Hybrid: 3 days onsite

• Base salary:
  up to $130,000
• Annual bonus: 5% (discretionary, performance-based)
• Strong benefits package including 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, PTO, sick time, and birthday leave

• Oversee full-cycle accounting and monthly close for a multi-entity environment
• Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Lead account reconciliations and consolidated reporting
• Partner with auditors, CPAs, and tax advisors across federal and state filings
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and cost control initiatives
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements (ERP/POS)
• Manage and mentor a blended accounting team (U.S. + offshore)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and supply chain

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong GAAP and general ledger background
• Experience in restaurant, franchise, retail, or multi-unit environments strongly preferred
• Hands‑on leader with a build-from-scratch, process‑improvement mindset
• Comfortable in high-volume environments with complex journal entries
• Experience creating custom reports and spreadsheets (not just using templates)
• CPA helpful but not required

This role is intentionally designed to step into a Controller title by April 2027
