Accounting Manager

An Accounting Manager oversees a company's financial operations by managing accounting staff, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, budgeting, forecasting, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision‑making within the organization; the role serves as the leader of the accounting team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring proper financial reporting.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets, forecast future financial performance, and monitor variances against budget.
• Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory standards, including tax laws.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, assign tasks, review work, and provide professional development opportunities.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Audit Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes and address any audit findings.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify key performance indicators (KPIs), assess profitability, and provide insights to management for strategic decision‑making.
• Accounting Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage cash receipts and disbursements, and forecast future cash needs.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information clearly to senior management, department heads, and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools
• Leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team
