The Lending Specialist provides prompt, quality customer service in a team environment with other branch and regional lending personnel. Responsibilities include loan processing, documentation, loan portfolio management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Review and scrutinize organizational/entity documentation for safety & soundness and CIP & CDD compliance.
• Verify the accuracy of supporting documentation during the loan application process.
• Initiate ordering of appraisal reports, credit reports, UCC searches, and other due‑diligence information for loan processing and underwriting.
• Prepare worksheets for approval, order loan documents, and identify exceptions.
• Compile closing documents such as title reports, insurance evidence, and related materials.
• Facilitate the document signing process and address customer questions and concerns.
• Assist loan officers with portfolio management, reviewing upcoming maturities and annual financial reporting requirements.
• Support multiple branches as assigned by the Regional Relationship Manager.
• Ensure compliance with federal & state regulations, internal policies, and bank security guidelines.
• Maintain open communication with support departments to achieve desired results.
• Maintain Notary Commission and perform Notary Public duties for the Bank.

Complies with all state and federal banking regulatory requirements, including BSA, OFAC, CIP, financial elder abuse reporting, sexual harassment, information security and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or the BSA department and complete assigned compliance training.
