Software Engineer

We are searching for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Software Development Team. You will develop software for flight critical components. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you can choose a 9/80 work schedule with a hybrid work option (3 days/week in the office) in Torrance, CA.

At this time relocation is not being offered for this role. In addition, candidates must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will:

• Design and implement software for use in real-time control systems.

• Perform systems and software integration and verification activities using real and simulated hardware.

• Design and implement software that performs data acquisition and control for automated test equipment.

• Stay up-to-date on advances in technology and processes for continuous improvement of accuracy, reliability, and cost.

• Develop maintainable software interfaces to electrical and mechanical systems.

• Domestic travel may be required as needed (up to 5%)

To be considered for the role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline, preferably Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar

• 3+ years of experience in the design/development/test of embedded software

• Experience programming in C

• This position requires access to United States export-controlled information.

• The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

It would be great if you also had:

• Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, Simulink, or similar platforms/programs.

• Experience with DO‑178 Level A Development and Verification activities.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines and commitments.

• Experience in the aerospace/defense industry.

• Experience in a Test/Development Lab environment.

• Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge in a hands‑on environment.

Salary Range Transparency

Torrance, CA $80,000.00–$ Annually
