Divergent is seeking an experienced and motivated analysis engineer to support the next generation of industry‑leading vehicle development. We’re committed to transforming vehicles’ structural systems away from traditional manufacturing by using new materials and new technologies. To do this, we need a forward‑looking and innovative engineer who will help shape the future of industrial manufacturing.
The Role- Build up and analyze FE Models of Node™‑based vehicle structures for aerospace flight applications or automotive use cases including validation using hand calculations and optimization.
- Apply cutting‑edge FE/CAE methodology including nonlinear geometry / nonlinear material / implicit and explicit techniques to address complicated multi‑physics problems.
- Present technical analysis summary/reports efficiently at meetings and to other relevant engineers.
- Create, refine, and execute new technical solutions for aerospace structures to support external customer programs and joint development efforts.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment within the DAPS Product Engineering team and cross‑functionally with other disciplines to efficiently design and release structures that are optimized for mass, efficient production, and assembly.
- Work cross‑functionally to implement cost reduction, methods and product improvements, and support prototype and production build activities.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
- BS in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering with Minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- 0‑2 years of experience in aerospace / automotive structural analysis or equivalent.
- 0‑2 years of experience in analysis software packages such as Nastran, Optistruct, ABAQUS and/or LS‑Dyna.
- New Grads of Fall 2025/Spring 2026 with strong foundation in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering will also be considered.
- Outstanding comprehension of solid mechanics.
- Solid understanding of linear/nonlinear behaviors of advanced materials (composites, adhesives, metals) to achieve lightweight structural solutions.
- Solid interpersonal skills and motivated self‑starter who can manage personal workload and execution to tight schedule.
- 1‑2 years of industry experience in non‑linear, dynamic stiffness, and durability analyses of structural components preferred.
- Material characterization and component / system‑level CAE – physical test correlation experience is a plus.
- Proficient with Altair Hypermesh or Beta CAE ANSA preprocessors.
- Experience with fast‑phase start‑up experiences.
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels PNG E03 - PNG E04 as evaluated through our interview process.
- PNG / E03: $100,980 - $138,820
- PNG / E04: $116,600 - $160,325

$100,880 - $247,005 USD
