Power Systems Engineer – Electric & Hybrid Propulsion
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Are you an engineer who loves hands‑on work with high‑voltage systems and wants to shape the future of sustainable commercial vessels? Join our Commercial Systems team and lead the design, testing, and integration of next‑generation electric and hybrid propulsion systems.
What You’ll Do:- Lead high‑voltage system design and integration, including protection & control.
- Get hands‑on wiring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware.
- Build and maintain bench test systems for production parity.
- Support sea trials and collaborate with suppliers, shipyards, and vessel operators.
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and power electronics experience.
- Experience with high‑voltage energy storage and industrial communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Modbus).
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, oscilloscopes, and practical hardware troubleshooting.
- Self‑driven, ownership‑minded, and comfortable working at sea to collect test data.
Bonus
Skills:
Commercial vessel experience, familiarity with ABS/USCG/IEC standards, functional safety, EMI/EMC, and firmware or PCB design tools.
- Work on cutting‑edge electric & hybrid marine systems.
