Mechanical Engineer at Arc
We are building 100% electric boats from the ground up, delivering a quieter, more reliable and environmentally friendly boating experience.
This is a full‑time, on‑site role in Los Angeles, CA reporting to the Lead Mechanical Designer.
Core Responsibilities- Managing large and complex CAD assemblies
- Modeling Class A surfaces and boat interiors
- Owning hardware from start to finish, including specifications, design, prototyping, testing and high‑volume manufacturing
- Supporting the industrial design of next‑generation products
- Interfacing with suppliers and contractors
- At least 2 years of industry experience
- Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Basic grasp of the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering
- Prior experience as a Siemens Teamcenter administrator
- Design for manufacturing experience with soft goods and interiors
- Willingness to provide hands‑on support with fabrication and assembly
- Ability to articulate and defend design decisions
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Strong time‑management skills
- Comfortable pushing at a fast but sustainable pace
- Enthusiasm for boating and the water
- Ownership over both your work and the company's success
- Empathy for colleagues and for customers
- Humility in problem solving and collaboration
- Pragmatism for navigating ambiguity quickly and sensibly
- Inclusion of different backgrounds, opinions, cultures and perspectives
- Salary between P2 $ 125,000 and P3 $ 150,000
