Senior Health & Safety Engineer – Honeywell Aerospace (Torrance, CA)

Drive safety excellence at our Torrance manufacturing site! As a Senior Health & Safety Engineer, you’ll champion health and safety programs, ensure compliance with regulations, and partner with leaders and employees to foster a safe workplace. This role is hands‑on, impactful, and critical to our aerospace business.

• Implement and maintain company HSE programs while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Proactively recognize, evaluate, and control HSE hazards.
• Improve facilities, work areas, and work procedures and make HSE recommendations accordingly.
• Work with leadership and front‑line employees to create a safe work environment and resolve HSE concerns.
• Prepare, maintain, and update HSE policy and procedure manuals.
• Stay abreast of changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Serve as a contact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
• Apply best practices and pre‑established guidelines to meet job requirements.
• Work under the immediate supervision of the Torrance HSE&F Manager.

• 8+ years of directly related experience in occupational health and safety/injury and illness prevention.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental or related discipline.
• Certifications in safety, environmental and/or industrial hygiene (CIH, CSP or CHMM).
• Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry.
• Superior communication and leadership skills.
• Advanced technology user skills and experience with HSE Management systems.

The annual base salary range for this position is $98,000–$147,200.
