** We are seeking a hands-on and strategic
** Director of Operations
** to lead our manufacturing team in a high mix, low volume defense electronics environment. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across assembly and manufacturing engineering, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of complex products in compliance with defense industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring a creative mindset and a willingness to challenge conventional approaches, fostering innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.

** Direct and support assembly supervisors and manufacturing engineering to ensure efficient production of diverse, low-volume product lines.
* ** Production Execution:
** Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing floor, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
* ** Process Improvement:
** Champion lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis to optimize workflows and reduce waste.

** Collaborate with engineering to implement process controls, tooling, and automation strategies that enhance product quality and throughput.

** Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.

** Identify and address performance gaps within teams and departments, implementing targeted coaching, development plans, and accountability measures to elevate individual and group effectiveness.
