Part‑time schedules available. The Early Intervention Assistant will provide high‑quality, compassionate, and professional services to children with special needs and their families at Momentum’s Torrance location.

• Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment
• Respects and promotes the right of individuals
• Provides ongoing support to therapists and teachers by encouraging children to participate in therapy group or other program activities
• Builds, supports, and maintains relationships with participating families
• Assists children in safely completing therapeutic activities and promotes social interaction and play
• Leads the developmental center activities by providing stimulating and structured play activities for children to practice the skills that they are learning in their therapy groups
• Participates in daily collaboration and monthly staff meetings
• Participates in maintenance of equipment and toys
• Knows, follows, and upholds Momentum’s policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent; required
• Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Psychology, or related field; preferred
• Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; required
• Work collaboratively with families
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
• Successfully pass all post‑offer, pre‑employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
