Part‑time schedules available. The Early Intervention Assistant will provide high‑quality, compassionate, and professional services to children with special needs and their families at Momentum’s Torrance location.
Pay Range$16.00/hr – $16.00/hr

- Provides ongoing support to therapists and teachers by encouraging children to participate in therapy group or other program activities
- Builds, supports, and maintains relationships with participating families
- Assists children in safely completing therapeutic activities and promotes social interaction and play
- Leads the developmental center activities by providing stimulating and structured play activities for children to practice the skills that they are learning in their therapy groups
- Participates in daily collaboration and monthly staff meetings
- Participates in maintenance of equipment and toys
- Knows, follows, and upholds Momentum’s policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent; required
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Psychology, or related field; preferred
- Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; required
- Work collaboratively with families
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
- Successfully pass all post‑offer, pre‑employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
