University Foot and Ankle Institute is well known as one of the most technologically advanced foot and ankle practices in the nation. Based in Santa Monica, we have six convenient locations throughout Los Angeles County.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Patient Services Coordinator to answer a high volume of calls, provide excellent customer service, and support our practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer a high volume of calls and schedule appointments for all patients with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Communicate clearly on the phone and accurately document and assign messages.
  • Confirm and update contact information for all patients at every contact.
  • Make follow‑up calls for any messages left.
  • Document appointment visit status, including rescheduled, cancelled, confirmed, left voice message, or any other status appropriately.
  • Deliver all communications with excellent customer service.
  • Be courteous and professional for all patient interactions.
  • Route calls to appropriate staff for swift resolution.
Requirements
  • Strong computer skills, including basic keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to navigate through patient record systems.
  • Ability to analyze situations, prioritize, develop solutions, and make recommendations.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills over the telephone.
  • Communicate with patients sensitively and effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Knowledge of medical practice terminology.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in fast‑paced scheduling or call center.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Experience working with performance metrics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
