Senior Purchasing Manager – the role is responsible for maintaining and standardizing purchasing, shipping, and receiving activities for Intellisense. The Senior Purchasing Manager will implement purchasing policies and procedures for the entire corporation.

This is a temporary assignment on‑site in Torrance lasting until approximately July 2026

• Implement and maintain corporate purchasing systems and procedures, enabling the company to purchase from suppliers with the best delivery terms, quality, and total cost performance. Familiarity with AS9100 is required.
• Implement policies and procedures to enable partnerships with suppliers that foster excellent performance.
• Implement contractor purchasing system review (CPSR) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Department of Defense requirements.
• Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs.
• Negotiate unique subcontracts and purchasing arrangements using technical understanding of the types of purchases, market factors and internal requirements.
• Maintain and furnish purchasing records, analyze cost data and reports for use in scheduling, planning, budgeting and other functional activities.
• Work closely with purchasing planners and coordinators to manage material demand and supply flow.
• Expedite material from suppliers through receiving and inspection, ensuring accurate and timely product delivery and submission of documents.
• Manage packaging and shipping per customer requirements.
• Administer new/changed supplier information to protect the company and customers’ reputation.
• Administer supplier improvement process to include quantitative performance measures for quality and delivery.
• Ensure adequate resources for the purchasing/supply chain team.
• Accomplish Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on cost savings and gross margin improvement.
• Implement training programs for purchasing policies and procedures and maintain detailed experience with Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (typically conducted by DCMA).
• Job responsibilities within our organization are dynamic. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor or upper management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Business Operations/Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in business is a plus.
• 10+ years of purchasing experience within the aerospace or electronics manufacturing industry.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience, including establishing goals, coordinating purchasing activities, scheduling tasks, and communicating expectations.
• Strong contract negotiation skills for complex equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP/MRP System required.
• Certifications from industry associations are a plus (CPM/CPPM).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• US Citizenship is required

$66.00-$90.00/hour
However, base salary for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
