Supply Chain Program Manager (SCPM) utilizes knowledge of manufacturing, material requirements planning (MRP), and business acumen to develop and execute material program strategies for an integrated product team. They oversee critical supplier relationships, ensuring timely material delivery, managing risks, and aligning supplier performance with company goals through strategic planning, performance management (KPIs, EACs, Business reviews), cross‑functional collaboration (procurement, production, engineering), negotiation, and driving continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery for specific programs or product lines.
This role requires understanding of procurement and manufacturing processes, budgeting and financial acumen, strategic and critical thinking, strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Supplier Relationship & Performance: Act as the primary point of contact, building strong relationships, managing contracts, conducting Business Reviews, and resolving issues.
- Material & Program Alignment: Ensure supplier materials meet program schedules, tracking deliveries, monitoring forecasts, and integrating with internal production/planning.
- Risk & Cost Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, optimize costs, support proposal efforts, manage budgets and perform EAC analysis.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, finance, operations, program management, purchasing and planning) to align strategies and resolve complex issues.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to and drive sourcing strategies, market analysis, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and affordability.
- Financial Performance: Develop Target/Budget pricing, provide accurate forecasting (business outlook, program EACs and proposals) and additional financial metrics.
- Continuous Improvement: Leverages Stellant continuous process improvement methodologies and looks to drive continuous improvement and best‑in‑class supply chain performance.
- Lead supplier performance reviews and track KPIs (quality, cost, delivery, RFQs).
- Facilitate meetings with suppliers and internal teams. Drive cross‑functional action plans as required for performance improvements.
- Manage entire procurement process from proposal to delivery inclusive of material forecasts and purchase orders.
- Support negotiations for favorable terms, delivery, and pricing.
- Report program status, metrics, risks, mitigation plans and milestones to leadership.
- Manage KPIs and KPI improvement plans.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 4 years of experience in supply chain management (i.e. Production or Material Planning and/or Purchasing), project/program management. Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
- Advanced with Microsoft Office applications (Excel including Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with Supply Chain planning tools including ERP/MRP.
- 100% on‑site
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Infor LN
- Demonstrated experience in strategy and planning, production readiness, strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and supply chain risk & opportunity management
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR and agency supplements.
