Description

As part of Torbay’s commitment to children and young people, an opportunity has arisen for a Youth Homelessness Prevention Worker.

This role has a central part to play in supporting the wider Family Help Service by delivering interventions and activities that contribute towards preventing young people experiencing homelessness and helping young people access suitable accommodation.

The role will involve working closely with young people and their families when homelessness is identified as a risk. The worker will also work with a number of key agencies to ensure a joined up approach is taken to meeting young people’s housing needs.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a calm and systematic worker who is able to develop and maintain relationships with young people and professionals from partner agencies.
