Word Press Developer
Location:
Torquay (Hybrid once established)
We’re looking for a skilled Word Press developer to join a growing digital team supporting a range of creative and commercial web projects. This role is primarily office‑based in Torquay, with hybrid flexibility available once you’re settled.
You’ll work across the full Word Press stack, building and improving websites that are fast, reliable, and user‑focused. This hands‑on role suits someone who enjoys problem θέση, collaborating with non‑technical teams and taking pride in clean, well‑structured code.
What you’ll be doing- Building, improving, and supporting Word Press websites.
- Developing and customising themes and plugins.
- Working closely with designers and stakeholders to deliver new features.
- Ensuring sites are responsive, accessible, secure and performance‑optimised.
- Integrating third‑party tools, APIs and e‑commerce functionality.
- Diagnosing issues and providing ongoing technical support.
- Commercial experience with Word Press development.
- Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, riesgo JavaScript, PHP< /li>
- Experience with page builders (Elementor preferred).
- Woo Commerce and SEO best‑practice awareness.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented mindset.
Nice to have: Git, REST APIs, headless Word Press, security practices, Agile exposure or generative engine optimisation.
