Close to local attractions, including the historic Torre Abbey and the lively harbour, guests can also indulge in the region's renowned culinary scene featuring fresh seafood and artisanal delights.

Role Overview

As a Front Office Nights Team Member (Part‑Time, 24 hours per week across 3 nights), you can expect to carry out the following duties:

Responsibilities
  • Checking in late‑arrival guests and checking out early‑departure guests, greeting them with a warm and authentic Hotel Indigo welcome and using Opera to manage check‑in/out. Experience in a nights reception or reception role within a hotel environment with Opera or a similar reception system is a plus, though not essential.
  • Dealing with ad‑hoc guest requests throughout the night, problem‑solving to elevate all guest stays and handling service recoveries for any complaints to ensure guests leave with a smile. Excellent problem‑solving and fast‑thinking skills are required, along with the autonomy to make decisions that benefit our guests.
  • Ensuring the safety of our guests and colleagues, focusing on a safe environment, completing relevant checks, and recording information via reports. A high attention to detail and an understanding of health & safety is a bonus.
  • Completing ad‑hoc tasks throughout the night, such as running reports, manning the reception desk, cleaning, and performing checks around the hotel. This variation requires someone who enjoys a varied role and likes to help the team where needed.
Benefits
  • Financial security – £13.60 per hour, guaranteed hours, paid overtime, a free meal on shift, paid holidays, subsidised unsocial hour travel support and enhanced sick pay. Wagestream, a financial wellbeing app, gives you the opportunity to save, track, and withdraw your pay as you earn it.
  • Growth and development – extensive training, opportunities for career progression across the world, and two paid days volunteering per year with a cause of your choice. IHG has been recognised as a ‘Best Employer 2025’ in the UK by Mercer.
  • Colleague perks – worldwide discounted room rates and discounted F&B at employee rate (IHG has over 6,000 hotels worldwide), generous friends and family rates, and discounts through our portal on supermarket shopping, experiences and retailers on our perks portal.
  • Wellbeing – generous maternity/paternity pay, employee assistance programme available 24/7, and access to mental health first‑aiders.
