Support Worker / Care Assistant (Adults with Learning Disabilities) – Bank Roles

Location: Torquay

Day shifts £14.12 – £14.29 per hour

Night shifts £16.47 – £16.64 per hour

(Hourly rates are dependent on qualifications and are inclusive of holiday pay)

We’re looking for additional bank staff to support our core team at Sesame, covering annual leave and sickness. Our shifts are typically , , , or , with a paid break for 12-hour shifts.

You’ll be joining our committed team, working to provide our residents with personalised, high‑quality support. Your day‑to‑day tasks will include:

• Delivering high‑quality personal care, ensuring dignity and respect are always maintained.
• Assisting residents in developing independence and achieving their goals.
• Creating engaging activities and supporting participation.

We maintain staffing ratios of 1:2 for night shifts and either 1:1 or 2:1 for day shifts, depending on the residents’ needs.

We’re looking for individuals who:

• Are able to work with the flexibility of shifts, sometimes with minimal notice.
• Are caring and compassionate, with an understanding of person‑centred care.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Are flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing needs.
• Understand safeguarding and risk assessments.
