Our Senior Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) form an essential and well‑respected part of our healthcare teams across a number of dynamic settings; out in the community, in our acute hospitals or within our theatres teams to name just a few.
You will be a valued member of the team through our comprehensive training and induction programme and our commitment to learning and development will satisfy even the most ambitious person.
The team
The South Devon Satellite Kidney Unit is a nurse‑led outpatient dialysis unit on the outskirts of Torquay, providing haemodialysis 6 days a week from 07:30‑23:00hrs. We are looking for a Senior Health Care Support Worker to join our team — Renal experience is not necessary as full haemodialysis training will be provided.
Applicants are required to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and high standards of clinical practice. You will be required to work collaboratively with dialysis unit staff and the wider renal multi‑disciplinary team to assess, plan and implement haemodialysis treatment under the supervision of the registered nurses.
