Are you looking for an excellent start to your career as an Occupational Therapist? We are seeking permanent, full‑time Band 5 Occupational Therapists to join our rotation which delivers services from a variety of clinical settings and bases.

To participate in the Band 5 Occupational Therapy rotational scheme, you will work across Torbay and South Devon Healthcare Trust sites in a range of ward settings, out‑patient departments, intermediate care facilities, patients' own homes and community facilities. You will be required to work across 7 days and will change your work area every 6 months.

Under the supervision of a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will be a member of a multi‑disciplinary team, providing specialist occupational therapy input aimed at achieving maximum independence for all patients, while working in accordance with the professional code of conduct and standards of practice and operational policy for this service.

Your role involves assessing individual needs and developing plans to support patients to achieve their aims, supporting the people of Torbay and South Devon to live their lives with meaningful occupation and purpose.

Support and development includes a preceptorship scheme, clinical supervision and wide access to a range of development opportunities. We provide a 12‑month multi‑disciplinary preceptorship programme aimed at newly qualified, newly appointed and return‑to‑practice staff, to be completed within the first year of employment.

Our Occupational Therapists also have the opportunity to attend and participate in a monthly Band 5 Occupational Therapy forum, offering peer support, updates and in‑house training.

Our rotation includes 15 different placements, offering the chance to work in a variety of locations across the stunning South Devon area covering coast, countryside and urban settings in acute and community hospitals, social care, paediatrics and intermediate care teams.
