Route Driver

VG Meats is a family‑owned, fourth‑generation business committed to producing tender, high‑quality beef, pork, and pastured poultry through sustainable farming practices. We serve a diverse range of clients, including retailers, farmers, restaurants, distributors, and institutions.

Route Driver – Part‑time (potential full‑time) position based in Toronto, ON.

• Handle daily deliveries from the pickup depot to clients across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
• Collect and deliver items across various facilities.
• Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving, Administrative staff, and the Logistics Supervisor to ensure accurate handling of paperwork, customer orders, and shipment details.
• Load and unload vans with product weighing up to 25 kg.
• Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
• Navigate routes using Route4

• Adhere to time‑ and temperature‑sensitive product handling procedures.
• Return home each night (routes designed for day‑time travel).

• At least 3 years of driving experience relevant to the role.
• Clean Driver’s Abstract and criminal background check.
• Reference letters from current and previous employers evidencing a total of 3 years of driving experience (references may be from multiple positions).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to drive in urban areas and handle van loading/unloading.
• G class driver’s licence.
• Experience handling time‑and temperature‑sensitive products.

Initially part‑time 3–5 hours per day, Tuesday–Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Hours may change with growth and could become a full‑time position.
