Adult Bollywood Dance Fitness Instructor – On Call-Seasonal

Fusion Cardio Toronto is looking for a caring, safe, and highly skilled and exciting on-call instructor to support their seasonal Adult Bollywood Fitness programs.

The instructor must be able to commute on time to the Bloor West – High Park area on Thursdays at 8 PM and Fridays at 7:30 PM.

Before submitting an application, this on-call seasonal opportunity DOES NOT indicate any employment or partnership. A flat honorarium is issued, which is discussed below.

• To instruct a 50‑minute fun, safe, and effective class for all levels and abilities with confidence in person.
• Has coached women over ages 50+ effectively and safely.
• Understands the components of a dance fitness class (warm‑up, a cardio component, muscle‑conditioning/strength training, dance learning, a cool‑down).
• Must have Classical Indian Dance, Bollywood or Indian folk dance experience.
• Can cue effectively using a range of indications (visual, hands, verbal).
• Shows up 10 minutes before class to set up and greet participants, ends on time to pack up, arrange the room, and greet participants off before other classes.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Bollywood Fitness/dance fitness.
• Must have Classical Indian Dance, Bollywood or Indian folk dance experience.
• Is a current Fitness Instructor Specialist, Personal Trainer, Movement/Fitness Coach, Exercise Specialist, Health and Fitness Promoter, Kinesiologist OR equivalent through a Canadian or North American governing body.
• Must have a valid CPR Level C/A and AED training.
• Must have personal liability insurance.
• A portable speaker in case of emergency.
• Must speak, read, and understand English well.
• Bonus:
  Has online‑Zoom teaching experience (we run several online programs).

There are 3 parts to the interview process.

This position does not indicate any employment or partnership; it is an on‑call – seasonal opportunity with a flat volunteer honorarium issued at the end of the month for the total number of classes.
