Legend are building the next generation of sports media – an app that brings fans closer to the action through immersive, real‑time experiences. We’re starting with iOS and expanding to Android, with a focus on performance, design, and innovation.

We’re looking for an App Developer to help drive the technical direction of our mobile app, partner with our external agency during transition, and play a key role in building our in‑house engineering team. This is a hands‑on position where you’ll shape architecture, write high‑quality code, and contribute directly to a product that sports fans will love.

• Develop and optimize mobile apps: Build, maintain, and enhance mobile applications using React Native, Expo, EAS, and Type Script, ensuring smooth performance and platform scalability.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally: Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high‑quality, user‑centric features.
• Implement secure authentication: Manage OAuth flows and integrations with identity providers like Google and Apple, ensuring secure handling of user data.
• Integrate APIs and manage data: Collaborate with backend engineers to optimize API efficiency, and handle client‑side data fetching, caching, and synchronization.
• Champion testing and quality: Define and implement QA processes with automated unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing through CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee deployment and distribution: Manage app releases through Test Flight and App Store Connect, and guide expansion to Android and Google Play distribution.

• 5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years building mobile apps with React Native.
• Strong expertise with React, Expo, EAS, and Type Script.
• Deep knowledge of iOS development, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, and app distribution via Test Flight.
• Proven experience with animations, performance optimization, and responsive mobile design.
• Experience integrating third‑party identity providers (e.g., Google, Apple) and handling secure authentication flows.
• Proficiency with testing frameworks (Jest, Detox, Testing Library) and CI/CD workflows in agile environments.
• Familiarity with Git, backend API integration, and client‑side data management strategies.

• Experience with Swift, Android development, Google Play distribution, or high‑traffic consumer apps.
• Understanding of geolocation, deep linking, and offline data strategies.
• Background in sports, media, iGaming and high‑traffic consumer apps.

• 1st:
  Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)
• 2nd:
  Interview with our team, Interviewer 1 and Interviewer 2 (1 hour video via Zoom)
• 3rd:
  Take‑home task – you will be given 3 days to complete it
• 4th:
  Final interview with our team, Interviewer 1 and Interviewer 2 (1 hour video via Zoom)
