• Design and build backend services, APIs, and integrations that are scalable, observable, and secure
• Architect and implement systems using modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Node.js, .NET, Go, Python)
• Apply principles of modularity, testing, and continuous delivery to ensure resilience and maintainability
• Integrate with cloud-native services and automate deployment through CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
• Collaborate with frontend, platform, and data engineers to deliver complete, reliable solutions
• Participate in code and design reviews – raising quality through thoughtful feedback and shared learning
• Demonstrate ownership and urgency in delivery – communicating risks early, iterating visibly, and focusing on outcomes
• At higher levels: mentor peers, contribute to architectural decisions, and influence technical direction within your team

• You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern languages (Java, C#, Go, Python, Type Script/Node.js)
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful or event-driven APIs, and integrating with third‑party or internal systems
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Understanding of CI/CD, testing automation, observability, and infrastructure-as-code
• Working knowledge of databases (SQL/No
  
  SQL), caching, and data access patterns

  Spring Boot, .NET Core, Express/Fastify, gRPC, REST, OpenAPI
• Build & Deployment: CI/CD (Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (at least two preferred)
• Security & Compliance: IAM, encryption in transit and at rest, RBAC, secure API design

We are recruiting for a future opportunity. The salary range for this role is $100,000–$150,000 CAD, reflecting expected base pay. Total compensation may also include additional pay such as bonuses or incentives, depending on the position, and final offers are based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
