We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Developer to join our dynamic Rates Technology team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing new and revised application systems and programs, collaborating closely with technology and business teams globally to deliver robust software solutions that drive innovation and technical excellence within our trading application landscape.
Responsibilities
Role Overview and
Key Responsibilities :
Lead UI development and system design for the Rates trading business, ensuring seamless integration with business workflows.
Business Collaboration :
Partner with Rates trading desks to understand requirements and translate them into intuitive, user‑centric UI designs.
UI Development :
Design scalable web UI architecture, write high‑quality code, and conduct comprehensive testing to meet business specifications.
Process Improvement :
Refine SDLC methodologies, enhance code quality standards, and adopt best practices to increase efficiency and product reliability.
Project Delivery :
Deliver large‑scale, complex technology projects from conception through to deployment, leveraging hands‑on development skills.
Production Support :
Serve as a third‑line support contact for the production system, handling escalated issues that require deep technical analysis.
Technical Analysis :
Review and analyze proposed technical solutions to ensure robustness, scalability, and alignment with architectural standards.
Business Integration :
Develop comprehensive knowledge of business processes to enhance technology solutions.
Innovation :
Identify opportunities for innovation, research emerging trends, and adapt cutting‑edge technologies for best‑in‑class software.
Standards and Procedures :
Ensure strict adherence to all development and operational procedures.
Risk and Compliance Management :
Assess risk, drive compliance with laws and regulations, manage control issues transparently, and maintain accountability.
Qualifications
Development Experience :
Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience focused on sophisticated client‑side applications.
Client‑Side Technologies :
Expert proficiency in Angular, React
JS, HTML5, ES6+, Type Script, and reactive programming (RxJS).
API and Data Integration :
Experience with high‑throughput, low‑latency systems, streaming data feeds, and RESTful APIs.
Core Technology Stack :
Practical experience with Kafka, Solace, and Mongo
DB.
Dev Ops and Deployment :
Demonstrable experience with modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Tekton) and container orchestration platforms (Open Shift, Kubernetes).
Professional Skills :
Self‑starting, fast‑paced desk‑facing experience, TDD and performance profiling knowledge, strong mathematical aptitude, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, clear communication, and meticulous attention to detail.
Business Knowledge :
Prior knowledge of Rates Derivatives is preferred and advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree / University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
