Job Title: Senior Application Developer - Java

Rate: $60-70/hr T4
Job DescriptionLead the design of APIs by thoroughly analyzing business requirements and adhering to system architecture and high-level design principles. Drive API development using optimal design patterns and best practices. Demonstrate expertise in coding complex system and business logic efficiently. Apply and advocate for modern development concepts and processes.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance both process efficiency and development effectiveness. Promote best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables and foster a positive, collaborative team environment. A strong understanding of modern technologies and development culture is highly valued.
Provide advanced support for operational activities, including problem-solving and troubleshooting. Exhibit a solid understanding of performance tuning to ensure robust, scalable solutions.
Mentor junior developers, offering technical guidance and support to foster their growth and success within the team.
Key Qualifications- Experience as Java/J2ee - 7+ years
- Experience with Spring/Springboot – 5+ years
- Experience with Microservices – 3+ years
- Experience with Agile – 2+ years
- Experience with Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) – 2+ years
- Containerization technologies (Open Shift, Kubernetes) – 1 year
- Banking Experience
- CIBC experience
- Experience with IBM BAMOE is a significant asset
