Sr. Full-stack (Java, Angular) Developer to build applications and provide production support for our Insurance client -
Duration: 10 Months
Location: Hybrid (3x/week in Toronto)
Responsibilities:
Design and build applications and provide designers with feedback and suggest trade-offs when requiredEnsure the code follows latest coding practices and industry standardsWork closely with other developers to understand and properly use the systems APIsWrite both unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasksChallenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutionsParticipation in 24×7 on-call rotation for application supportHelp and mentor other members of the teamMust Haves:
Eligible for Reliability Clearance (5 years in Canada)5+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, Mongo
DB, JUnit, Mocking framework such as Mockito3+ years of experience in Angular 2 or above
. Expert level experience of front end technologies with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX & responsive designUnderstanding of APIs and how to use them in practiceExperience with continuous integration tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins and ConfluenceKnowledge & experience with UI testing, unit testing and test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Jasmine, etc.Experience with Kubernetes & cloud-based platforms (Google or AWS)Understanding and flexibility in working in an Agile environmentExperience with rotational on-call production support
