Senior Software Engineer - Agentic AI

An AI startup with Silicon Valley roots is hiring an Agentic AI Engineer in Toronto to design and deploy intelligent agent-based AI systems for semiconductor design workflows. With $35M+ in funding and rapid growth, the company is pioneering AI-native tools that can reason, plan, and operate autonomously across complex, multi-step tasks.

As an Agentic AI Engineer, you’ll build advanced agent architectures that combine retrieval, orchestration, and reasoning - transforming chip design workflows into dynamic, end-to-end agentic solutions. This is a highly impactful role where research meets production, and where your work directly shapes next-generation AI capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Build multi-step reasoning agents with memory, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and API/tool integrations.
• Design evaluation pipelines to benchmark and optimize agent performance for robustness, reasoning accuracy, and tool reliability.
• Implement orchestration strategies, supervisor/sub-agent coordination, and best practices for scalability.
• Deliver production-grade agentic AI workflows on cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to translate complex workflows into agent-driven systems.
