Software Engineer, Backend - Platform

Join Coinbase and help build the future of the global financial system! We are seeking experienced backend engineers to join our Platform Product Group. You'll be instrumental in building the next generation of crypto-forward products and features, solving complex technical challenges at scale, and making cryptocurrency accessible to everyone. You will be working within the Identity, Fin Hub, and Payments teams.
What you'll be doing:
Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang.
Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate product and technical vision into a roadmap.
Write high-quality, well-tested code.
What we look for in you:
2+ years of experience in software engineering.
Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with a service-oriented architecture.
Passion for building an open financial system.
Nice to haves:
Experience in a rapidly growing company.

Experience with Blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
Experience decomposing monoliths into microservices.

Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, Mongo

DB, or Redshift.
Experience building financial, high-reliability, or security systems.
Crypto-forward experience (interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, dApps, or blockchain-based services).
