Here are some of the exciting responsibilities you'll have:
Collaborate closely with art and design to create and iterate on UE5 based gameplay features
Implement core game functionality such as application specific AI, physics, character control, camera management, inventory systems, event handling, UI, etc
Improve existing gameplay systems by diagnosing and fixing bugs in networking, rendering, gameplay logic, profile management, world streaming / relevancy and more
Design and write robust, well-structured, data-driven code that is easy to maintain and built for long-term use
Maintain awareness of state of the art tools & techniques for developing high quality, competitive UE based game applications
Write clear technical design and specification documents
Contribute ideas toward all aspects of game production and development

Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
2-5+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine 5 in the gaming industry
Expert-level proficiency in C++ and UE Blueprints, with a proven ability to architect and code complex gameplay mechanics
History of solving complex technical issues and successful UE problem solving
Strong math skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
Proficiency with source control, debuggers, profilers, and other software development tools
Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independently
Passion for video games

Salary range: $80,000-$130,000 CAD
