Software Developer - R&D

Sciemetric is looking for a Software Developer to join our R&D team to design, develop, and maintain .NET/WPF software products. You’ll contribute to a friendly and collaborative engineering culture through code reviews and by promoting consistent, high-quality code that balances performance, maintainability, and developer expression. We track work in Jira and check in four mornings a week for quick, focused scrums.
Salary Band  Level 1: $70,000 – 80,000
Responsibilities  Work independently to turn direction into action: moving projects forward, identifying obstacles, and reaching out to teammates when deeper insight is needed.
Interact and coordinate with other development teams working on related products.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Expertise with:  Window Presentation Framework (WPF)
C# application development using MVVM
Windows services.

Able to commute to our head office as needed which is located at 359 Terry Fox Drive, Suite 100, Kanata, Ontario K2K 1E7
Additional Desired Sills:  The following skills are highly desirable for this position:
WPF Toolkits, specifically Sci Chart + Dev Express
A background in mathematics, SPC, or data analytics.
Prism Framework
Docker
Unit testing practices
