On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - ETL - Senior for a 13-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

The project involves providing best-practice migration solutions and overseeing all aspects of data and file migration from a legacy application to a new solution. The role includes performing data profiling, cleansing, and mapping to ensure successful migration and data integrity.

Software Developer - ETL - Senior - Responsibilities:

• Provide best-practice migration solutions and oversee data and file migration.

• Establish strong working relationships with clients and analyze legacy data.

• Perform data profiling and suggest pre-migration data cleansing activities.

• Complete data migration strategy, mapping, and execute actual conversion.

• Translate technical specifications into working, tested applications.

• Resolve technical problems during software usage and provide technical assistance.

• Define and conduct testing to ensure data integrity and comparisons.

Software Developer - ETL - Senior - Mandatory

Skills:



• 7+ years of experience in developing data conversion and migration.

• Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, etc.

• Proficiency in query languages such as Oracle SQL, PL-SQL, SQL Server, etc.

• Experience in all steps of data migration activities.

• Full life-cycle data conversion experience with enterprise systems.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience migrating file and document attachments.

Software Developer - ETL - Senior – Nice-to-Have

Skills:



• Experience developing business cases and data migration strategies.

• Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices.

• Understanding of master data and transactional data concepts.

• Experience with public sector organizations.

• Experience ensuring the data migration solution is scalable.
