Mobile QA Engineer

Sage Recruiting is looking for an Intermediate Software QA Engineer specializing in Mobile Test Automation to join a medium-sized B2C/B2B software company partnered with some of the world’s leading brands. Our client helps consumers to save money on items they purchase every day and their product has the advantage to create an impact on purchasing decisions.

As a QA Engineer, you will implement automated testing solutions for our client’s customer-centric mobile product and its APIs.

Your role also includes developing and maintaining the mobile test automation system and performing manual testing as needed. If you are planning to further your career in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is for you!
What you will be doing

Automate the regression testing suite for iOS and Android apps by building Appium test framework

Work with other testers and engineers on test automation implementation for new features

Enhance the automation process by upholding the best QA automation practices together with the QA team

Generate and establish testing programs for the main feature set

Identify, triage and fix flaky tests as well as monitor and maintain the stability and performance of tests in the build pipeline

Implement appropriate testing methods and support automated tests for new features in collaboration with the Scrum team

Work closely with the engineers to establish preliminary testing in the software development system

Determine and optimize the overall architecture, quality and testability of the software systems together with the team

Routinely and efficiently monitor and report test results

What we are looking for

Experience working with mobile test automation frameworks (preferably Appium)

Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing of iOS and Android apps

Outstanding QA skills

Experience working in an agile environment

Experience with Selenium/Java

Experience with cloud computing services (AWS), Git/Git Hub, and Jenkins

Experience in writing and implementation of test plans and cases

Passion for optimization and automation

Experience with both web and mobile automation

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Software or any closely related field

Nice to have

Experience with CI/CD (circle CI)

Experience with API Testing

Experience with Cucumber

Experience with PHP or similar scripting language

Experience with Gherkin Syntax and BDD

Experience with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira)

Experience with API testing (SoapUI, Postman)
