As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll make highly visible enhancements to our platform by maintaining and building new features across our stack. This includes TypeScript and Java. Our teams work with a variety of applications that enable our ability to sell tickets, manage inventory, support our internal users, and provide a great customer experience from the website to the box office.
Following development best practices, you’ll be responsible for developing solutions that scale to the needs of our customers and partners.
How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:
Help guide the direction of the design and development of the systems powering our B2C Marketplace and Distribution products.Develop innovative solutions that give Vivid Seats a competitive advantage, encourage team members, and champion technology improvements for your delivery team.Work cross-functionally with other development teams and business stakeholders to deliver impact iteratively.Tackle some of the most difficult challenges of scaling an e-commerce marketplace by developing creative algorithms and features that maximize value and efficiency across the organization.Collaborate to develop and maintain best practices across the software development lifecycle.Uphold standards for development and product quality and participate in the team’s on-call rotationMentor other engineers through pairing, code reviews, and tech talks.How your role expectations will progress as a Sr Full Stack Engineer in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:

5+ years of professional experience building and supporting production web applications.Experience with modern front-end technologies such as TypeScript, Next.js, React and their interactions with APIs.Experience developing Web-based, Distributed and Multi-Tier architecture using Java/J2EE or other major platforms (Python, Scala, Clojure, etc.)Experience designing, building, and testing web services and APIs.Strong written and interpersonal communication skills to document and share team best practices across the department.Preferred knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, PCI, and SQL.Strong written and interpersonal communication skills to document and share team best practices across the department.A proactive mindset toward embracing, experimenting, and integrating AI tools to drive efficiency, elevate your work, and contribute to a culture of innovation.Vivid Seats Pay Transparency Disclaimer: Full time offers from Vivid Seats include annual bonus incentives and equity for all employees; mental health days; medical, dental, and vision insurance; monthly credits and discounts for attending live events; and a variety of additional workplace perks. Full Salary Range: $135,000 – $165,000 CAD
