What You’ll Do  Lead Projects End-to-End:
Drive technical projects from concept to production. Define solutions, analyze tradeoffs, make critical decisions, and deliver software that works today and is sustainable for tomorrow.
Collaborate Across Functions:
Partner with product, design, and business stakeholders to shape initiatives. Translate between technical and non-technical audiences to ensure clarity, alignment, and buy‑in.
Code Craftsmanship:
Write clear, testable, and maintainable code. Establish patterns and best practices that your team can follow, ensuring long‑term scalability and reliability.
Build for Quality & Sustainability:
Design extensible systems, balance tech debt, plan careful rollouts, and own the quality of your work through post‑launch monitoring.
Think Product, Not Just Code:
Approach problems with a product mindset and care about business impact as well as technical design.
Mentor & Elevate:
Coach engineers on your team by sharing patterns and practices to raise the technical bar and foster sustainable engineering.
What You Bring  Proven experience leading technical projects at scale, including planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
Strong full‑stack engineering skills with deep knowledge of modern web development practices, API design, and system design.
Clear and persuasive communication skills — you can articulate tradeoffs and influence decisions across teams.
A balance of urgency with craftsmanship: shipping fast while maintaining quality engineering.
Creativity and adaptability — you think beyond the obvious and find solutions that move product and business forward.
A track record of mentoring engineers and helping teams grow.
Compensation & Benefits  The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Salary and equity ranges are competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and updated regularly using compensation survey data. New hire offers are based on experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.
Target new hire base salary ranges for this role:
US employees: $200,700 - $250,900
Canadian employees: CAD $189,700 - $237,100
