Frontend Developer

Our client, a financial services leader, is hiring for a Front End Developer. This is a hybrid contract position in Toronto.

This individual will support the design, development, and maintenance of web-based user interfaces using Vue and other web technologies. This role will focus on building responsive, high-quality front-end solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support evolving product needs.

Contract Duration: 6 Months to Start

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on front‑end development experience in an enterprise environment.
• Strong experience with Vue.js is required
  .
• Experience with React.js is highly preferred.
• Experience with Ember.js is a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with Git branching strategies and code testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of REST API integration.
• Experience in the financial services industry and/or with payment systems would be a plus.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible, and performant web interfaces.
• Collaborate with team members using established Git branching strategies.
• Write, execute, and maintain front‑end code tests using appropriate testing frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and best practices.
• Contribute to iterative development efforts, with exposure to Agile methodologies where applicable.
