Job Description

Numerator is seeking a skilled Dev Ops Kubernetes Engineer to help build, scale, and modernize the infrastructure behind both our established products and new greenfield initiatives. You’ll work across a diverse technical landscape - from gamified mobile apps to large-scale web crawling and deep learning systems - that power our consumer insights platform.

In this role, you’ll make an immediate impact by driving our migration from on‑prem to cloud, improving reliability and performance, and shaping how new projects are delivered s is a fast‑paced, high‑visibility opportunity with strong growth potential.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on with infrastructure‑as‑code, experienced with Kubernetes in major cloud environments, and comfortable contributing to both operational architecture and broader technology initiatives across the Numerator portfolio.

What You’ll Do
  • Participate in code reviews, design work and troubleshooting across business functions, multiple teams and product groups to help communicate, document and address infrastructure issues.
  • Look for innovative ways to improve observability, monitoring of large scale systems over a variety of technologies across the Numerator organization.
  • Participate in the creation of training material, helping teams embrace a culture of Dev Ops with self‑healing and self‑service ecosystems. This includes discovery, testing and integration of third‑party solutions in product roadmaps.
  • Build internal‑facing tools that demonstrate performance and operational effectiveness to improve training, adoption and understanding of common Software Development and Dev Ops challenges.
  • Drive the team forward by helping refine and plan out tasks and epics during regular sprint planning.
  • Expose the team and wider application teams to new tools and technologies when possible and to drive PoCs with third‑party vendors during the vendor selection process.
Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Security, or Information Security.
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud‑based systems across Dev Ops, IT, Networking, or Software Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, reliability, availability, and performance engineering.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of networking, operating systems, databases, packaging/build systems, and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, Loki, Tempo, Mimir).
  • Skilled in deploying services with advanced networking, IAM role‑based access, and Kubernetes within AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficient in Python, Golang, shell scripting, and rapid prototyping with third‑party tools.
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot) and pair‑programming workflows.
  • Experienced in Agile methodologies and capable of managing multiple projects while proactively identifying technical risks.
  • Ability to quickly learn, deploy, and manage Kubernetes‑based applications and third‑party services using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong documentation skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
