Maintenance Planner

Location  Maintenance Department - Newsmill
Requirements   Mechanical Technician 5 years experience as a tradesman in the mechanical trade is an asset.
Proficient with computer software.
Strong written and oral skills.
Results oriented and can research independently to add value to any job via critical information.
Prioritizes and effectively deals with multiple tasks ponsibilities   Responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling maintenance work (including preventative maintenance).
Schedules manpower for major repairs, overhauls and maintains a backlog of work for the area maintenance crew.
Maintains accurate reports.
Schedules, organizes and conducts weekly meetings.
Secures contractors as required for equipment maintenance.
Participates in solving safety and environmental issues, as required.
Utilizes trade or technical knowledge and field experience to develop job plan.
Carries out coordination needed to complete these plans and achieve the most efficient use of resources with minimum equipment downtime.
