Salary: $36.00 to $40.00 per hour (to be negotiated) / 30 to 44 hours per week

Employment type: Permanent, Full time

Shift: Early morning, morning, day, evening, weekend, flexible hours (to be determined)

Start date: As soon as possible

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
• Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
• Utilize computerized quantity take‑off
• Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
• Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
• Instruct apprentices
• Supervise other workers
• Cut materials using power tools or by hand
• Fit and join sheet metal parts
• Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes

• Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
• Fall Arrest Protection Training Course

• Copper or metal roofs
• Custom sheet metal items
• Decorative metal sheets
• Eavestroughing and flashing
• Roof decking
• Sheeting and cladding

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• 5 years or more of relevant experience
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle (willing to travel)
• Fast‑paced, physically demanding environment; manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand‑eye coordination, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, tight deadlines
• Tools:
  Steel‑toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, ear plugs, hard hat, tools
• Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, judgement, organised, team player
• Driver's validity licence check and driving record check required
