Abt the Company:

Our client sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America in order to ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste.

They are expanding at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a Forklift Technician to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain various types of forklift trucks
• Test forklift trucks to ensure repairs are completed correctly
• Install, remove and/or repair attachments and accessories such as clamps, side shifters,
  push/pulls, lights and audible devices as required
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair batteries and chargers as needed
• Liaise with other technicians and team members
• Other duties assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years’ experience as a forklift technician or auto mechanic
• Completion of forklift truck mechanics training course is considered an asset
• Ability to use hand and power tools to repair forklift vehicles
• Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklift vehicle
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs +
• Reliable transportation
• Able to work the morning shift or afternoon shift
