Summary

BGIS is dedicated to safeguarding critical environments through advanced preventive maintenance and building automation systems. We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Building Operator Millwright with a strong foundation in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid trade certificate and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret drawings.

• Practice safe work habits by installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

• Work independently with limited supervision, performing all tasks in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.

• Write maintenance and technical reports specific to jobs.

• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance records and incident reports.

• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of HVAC equipment, including fan coil units, fan power boxes, and force fans.

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment.

• Maintain building automation systems, including knowledge of Johnson Controls Meta Sys Building Environment Platform.

Communication and Documentation

• Collaborate with coworkers to address maintenance issues collectively.

• Keep system configurations and maintenance records up to date.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven experience as a Millwright with extensive mechanical knowledge.

• In-depth knowledge of building automation systems and HVAC equipment.

• Understanding of building automation systems and their interaction with security infrastructure.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple systems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Licenses and Certifications

• Relevant certifications such as Industrial and/or Construction Millwright 433A.
