Position Summary:
As a surveillance manager you will be responsible for overall management of the Surveillance Department, providing leadership and direction in a shift work environment. Lead the surveillance team in compliance with AGCO regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining good public relations with patrons and employees. The manager will always maintain awareness of gaming operations and game integrity and comply with security policies and pre-determined internal control procedures in order to secure company assets.
From time to time the manager will act as a senior advisor in projects and business development assisting the management team in meeting objectives consistent with corporate and site goals.
Key Accountabilities:
Protect the assets of the corporation against theft, fraud and abuse by utilizing surveillance techniques to monitor all operations and gaming activities throughout the facility.Oversee Surveillance investigations of major occurrences such as criminal acts committed on company property, breaches of integrity and occurrences subject to significant risk in terms of liability.Ensure adherence to established AGCO and OPP notification requirements. Maintain files and records, according to AGCO regulations and Surveillance Department policies.Must have thorough knowledge of the Internal Controls and ensure that all employees strictly adhere to policies and procedures as outlined by the Departmental or Internal Control Manual.Complete performance appraisals, participates and make recommendations in hiring activities and application of corrective counseling to staff. Supervise and develop an effective team to meet and exceed performance expectations by fostering an environment which is team-oriented and in which the exchange of ideas among staff within Surveillance department is encouraged.Monitors training strategies for supervisors and staff, ensure technical training, internal customer service training and succession planning are providedCreate departmental budget and managing department’s operating expenses, etc. Is responsible for ensuring surveillance equipment is in good repair and maintain established preventative maintenance schedule.Maintain effective liaison with other department management personnel in order to anticipate, plan and coordinate surveillance coverage requirements and AGCO approvals for gaming floor layout revisions and / or additions of gaming equipment to the gaming floor.Maintain general awareness of gaming operation at all times and comply with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets.Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Ensure staff comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment, proper lifting techniques and identify unsafe practices or conditions.Education and Qualification Requirements:
A university degree or comparable working experience in related fields with strength in Criminology, Law or related fieldsManagerial experience and supervisory experience in the related field of five (5) or more yearsStrong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, communication and managerial skills.Complete knowledge of the Internal Control Manual and AGCO rules and regulations along with knowledge of the slot operations including protection initiatives, and cheating manoeuvres devicesThe ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of OntarioWork Environment Considerations:
• Regular office environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
