A.S.P. Incorporated is looking for an Event Security Specialist, who can provide visible, advanced‑level security service in a professional, competent, and courteous manner. Working with integrity and respect, the Event Security Specialist takes responsibility for securing and protecting the patrons at our various events located at Roger’s Stadium.
What you will do:- Access control for the perimeters of the event site
- Physically monitor the site to ensure all attendees have tickets to the event
- Provide professional, diplomatic and pro‑active customer service
- Conduct static, foot and mobile patrols on the site
- Investigate and report any events, occurrences and incidents that happen on site while providing security patrols
- Assist in emergency situations including evacuation and injury
- Secure back of house in a professional manner
- Work in compliance with Occupational Health & safety regulations
- Perform other functions as needed
- Outdoor environment / weather resilience: work is performed outdoors across all seasons and weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, bright sunlight, and variable air quality.
- Sensory & cognitive demands: remain alert, maintain situational awareness, and respond swiftly to emergencies in environments with varying light and auditory stimuli.
- Physical stamina: capable of walking, standing for up to 80% of the scheduled shift and occasionally climbing or lifting objects up to 25 lbs.
- Operational readiness: capable of safely operating in environments that may require driving, night shifts, and independent decision‑making.
- Protective gear: safety boots, reflective vests, weather‑rated gear, etc., must be worn at all times (PPE provided).
- Flexible scheduling: must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of one (1) year of security experience
- Valid Use of Force certificate an asset
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Ability to work in a high‑stress environment
- Ability to make quick and informed decisions
- Must possess an Ontario Security Guard License
- Must possess valid First Aid, CPR and AED certification
- Strong tactical awareness and de‑escalation experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Must be willing to work 12‑hour shifts, days or nights in all weather conditions
