Workplace Security Operations & Systems Analyst - Canada

Role descriptionArcadis is seeking to hire a Canada Workplace Security Operations & Systems Analyst to provide comprehensive Canada-wide Workplace Security Operations & system oversight service, including high‑quality customer service and technical support for all users of Arcadis offices in Canada. The analyst will use relevant Corporate & Workplace Security Management procedures and processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficient office operations by assisting staff with workplace projects, systems, and procedures.
Responsibilities- Security Governance & Access Control Administration
- Badge lifecycle management (issue, modify, deactivate)
- Weekly/monthly access audits
- Contractor and vendor access controls
- Compliance with onboarding/off‑boarding protocols
- Access anomaly investigations
- Visitor and temporary badge governance
- Incident Response & Investigations, including responding to access breaches, alarms, and threats
- Conduct full internal investigations (beyond footage pull)
- Prepare formal incident reports with findings and analysis
- Coordinate with HR, Legal, and People Services
- Handle evidence and chain‑of‑custody processes
- Trend analysis and corrective action plans
- Risk, Compliance & Security Governance
- Physical security risk assessments for offices
- Policy enforcement (access control, CCTV usage, retention, privacy)
- Align with GDPR/PIPEDA/privacy standards
- SOP development and documentation management
- Internal security audits and control reviews
- Business continuity and emergency planning support
- Vendor management and SLA oversight
- Coordinate installations, repairs, and upgrades
- Lead small to mid‑scale security system projects
- Manage hardware lifecycle planning and technology roadmap
- Report security metrics to leadership
- Train workplace/security teams on system use
- Monitor security system health and server functionality daily
- Troubleshoot technical problems with security system controllers, modules, and points (e.g., car readers, outputs, inputs)
- Recommend and deploy security system upgrades or decommissioning
- Update system setup for each office as needed (special events, config changes)
- Monitor CCTV system functionality (NVRs, cameras); investigate footage and provide recordings when requested
- Coordinate with each location’s landlord for routine system upgrades with zero operational impact (elevator access, mag‑lock reboot)
- Issue access cards for new hires and visitors; deactivate cards for resigned employees and visitors
- Manage & monitor visitor logs at all locations
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Corporate Safety & Security management
- Proficiency with Prot‘ego System (MUST)
- Building corporate procedures, risk mitigation plans & BCP
- Incident reporting & RCA experience
- Knowledge of GDPR/PIPEDA/privacy standards and legislation
- Equivalent work experience in Safety & Security field (education)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent communication skills; experience with Prot‘ego & Securitas Monitoring system
- Potential travel required for this position
- Real Estate field experience (Facilities/Corporate/Residential)
- Professional image on the phone, in writing and in person
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Exercises discretion and confidentiality
- Adapts to rapidly changing priorities and last‑minute deadlines
- Detail‑oriented, dependable, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision
55,000 - 75,000 CAD (salary range for this position). Base salary varies by location, skills, experience and qualifications.
