On Call Security Guard - Corporate Security

Position Overview

We are seeking highly motivated security professionals to provide exceptional security services for our global ecommerce client’s corporate offices in Downtown Toronto. Candidates demonstrate availability for casual, on-call shifts across various times. Flexibility and the ability to travel between multiple sites within the downtown Toronto core.

Position: On Call Security Guard

Wages: $19.63/hr

Location: Downtown Toronto

Shift timings: Varies (Days, Afternoons, Nights and Weekends. Preference for those who can work different types of shifts)

• De‑escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denying entry to anyone without authorization.
• Conduct foot patrols on multiple floors, elevators and office space.
• Assist with coverages at various sites to enhance security at strategic locations.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.

• Valid Ontario Security Licence
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• 1 year Security Experience
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Effective communication skills.
