Position: In-House Security Guard (Full-Time)
Location: Old Toronto

Job Responsibilities

Monitor all facility cameras for health and safety concerns, event activity, vagrancy, and any suspicious behaviour.

Monitor parking areas to ensure vehicle and property safety.

Control access points and verify entry authorization.

Conduct patrols to identify and address potential health and safety risks, ensuring the safety of employees, clients, and the general public.

Report and document any building damages, leaks, or maintenance concerns.

Respond to emergencies, including evacuations, de-escalating tense or volatile situations, managing crowds, and assisting in medical or other health and safety incidents.

Job Qualifications

Ability to conduct routine patrols across large facilities and respond promptly to emergencies.

Able to perform tasks that may involve extended periods of standing or walking, as well as supporting activities such as evacuations, crowd support, or light lifting.

Familiarity with CCURE, Perspective, CCTV, and Life & Safety systems.

Security experience in hospitality, large venues, and crowd management (considered an asset).

Strong customer service skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.

Knowledge of the Criminal Code, TPA, and LLA.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Valid Private Security and Investigative Services license.

Current First Aid/CPR and AED certification;
Smart Serve certified.

Job Skills and Requirements:

Ability to conduct routine building patrols throughout a large facility.

Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods.

Capable of managing physically demanding situations (e.g., assisting in evacuations, crowd control, or lifting light equipment if necessary).

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations

Exposure to CCURE, Perspective and CCTV systems

Exposure to Life & Safety systems

Security experience in the hospitality industry, large venues and crowd management is an asset

Customer Service Experience

Good understanding of the Criminal Code / TPA / LLA

Being a Team Player and having a Positive Attitude are an Asset.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Valid license under the Private Security and Investigative Services Acts

First Aid/CPR Certificate/ Defibrillator Certificate

Smart Serve License
