Position Details:

Position: | Full-Time Security Guard

Site: | Colliers International – West Metro - 195 The West Mall,

Etobicoke, ON M9C 5K1

Overtime: Employment Standards Act

Hours: | Monday to Friday (0800 - 1600)

Payrate: | $18.92/hr

Key Responsibilities:

· Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of Colliers and the Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach

· Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed

· Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly

· Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.

· Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public

· Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources

· Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries

· Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person

· Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client’s staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required

Prerequisites:

· Valid Security License for the province of Ontario

· Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider

· English (oral and written) fluency is a must

· 3 Years of experience in security is an asset

· Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

· Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
