Shops at Don Mills is located at Don Mills and Lawrence Avenue East in Toronto, Ontario. With 72 stores, this lifestyle shopping center is anchored around fashion, dining and entertainment, making shopping a delight.
To deliver a consistent and outstanding level of customer service to clients by actively seeking out opportunities to provide assistance and support. Working on assigned shifts, act as a deterrent to crime and undesired activity and help to maintain a visibly safe and welcoming property environment. Write reports, investigate routine incidents, and respond to emergencies quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations reasonably.
- Use tact and diplomacy in interactions across a range of settings and situations.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid, CPR or AED support until professionals arrive.
- Maintain and enforce access control procedures.
- Solid understanding of emergency and standard operating procedures.
- Deal with trespassers and unauthorized persons in a fair and safe manner, enforcing the Trespass to Property Act.
- Assist with Fire & Life Safety inspections.
- Maintain a detailed memo book and prepare incident reports using CF's standard report‑writing program.
At the time of the interview applicant must be able to produce proof of completion of the following:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification (WSIB‑approved).
Note:
this differs from Level C or Emergency First Aid certification. - Valid G2 or G driver’s licence required to patrol in a company security vehicle.
- Proof of 2 COVID‑19 vaccinations.
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
- Must be able to commute to Toronto for pre‑deployment training (four training days M‑F).
- Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) from an ASP provider. Other providers are not accepted; applicants must enroll in Paladin’s UoF/MOAB training program before onboarding, which Paladin will cover at no cost.
